I'm Cally - a singing teacher based in Hale, Altrincham, and a classically trained soprano with a first-class degree from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and a Masters from the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague.
But more than that - I'm someone who has experienced performance anxiety firsthand, and who found a way through it. That experience shapes everything about how I teach.
My lessons take a genuinely holistic approach. I know that a tense body, a busy mind, or a lack of confidence can hold a voice back just as much as technique can. So every lesson begins with breathwork and gentle movement to settle the nervous system and bring you fully into your body - because singing is a whole-body experience, and it works best when you feel safe, relaxed and free.
Who I teach
I work with adults and children of all ages, from complete beginners to those preparing for exams, auditions and performances. Whether you want to sing classical, musical theatre, pop, or simply find out what your voice can do — lessons are shaped entirely around you and the music you love.

My approach
Every lesson begins with breathwork and gentle stretches - building body awareness and helping you understand that singing starts long before you open your mouth. We then warm up and strengthen the voice before moving into repertoire.
I believe singing music you genuinely love is the fastest route to real progress, so we choose repertoire together. I'll always have suggestions, but your enthusiasm matters more than any syllabus.

I've spent almost 20 years immersed in voice - training, performing and working professionally as a soprano - and I bring that depth of experience to every lesson. Good technique isn't about control, it's about release: when the body is free and the breath is supported. The goal is always the same: to help you find a healthy, free technique that lets your voice do what it's already capable of…often more than you'd expect.
