Children’s Singing Lessons in Hale & Altrincham
Helping young voices grow in confidence, musical expression and a love of singing.
One-to-one singing lessons for children and young people in Hale and Altrincham, with professionally trained soprano Cally Youdell.
I believe every child with a natural love of singing deserves the opportunity to find their voice in an environment where they feel comfortable, encouraged and free to be themselves.
My teaching approach is warm, patient and nurturing. I take the time to get to know each child, understand what they enjoy and discover what makes them excited about singing. Whether they’re happiest singing Disney songs, musical theatre, pop or classical music, lessons are shaped around their individual interests, personality and voice.
As a mum myself, I understand how important it is for children to feel supported, listened to and celebrated. I want lessons to be something they look forward to each week: a space where they can explore, experiment, make progress and, above all, enjoy singing.
Singing lessons tailored to your child
Every child is different, and there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to learning to sing. Some children arrive bursting with confidence and eager to perform, while others need a little more encouragement to find their feet.
I work at each child’s own pace, gently building their confidence and developing their voice through a combination of vocal exercises, musicianship, and songs they love to sing.
Lessons may include:
Vocal technique: warm-ups, exercises and breathwork that help develop a healthy, natural singing voice.
ABRSM exam preparation: these exams can be a wonderful way to naturally progress over time, learning repertoire and musicianship skills along the way
Musicianship: Developing pitch, rhythm, listening and musical understanding.
Sight-reading: Learning how to read music and sing straight from the page, over time.
Performance confidence: Understand the character of the piece and finding the confidence to express themselves through singing.

Why Singing Lessons?
Singing is about so much more than learning to sing in tune. It can help children:
Develop confidence
Challenge themselves and gain a sense of achievement
Express their creativity
Grow their ability to focus
Develop musical understanding
Understand the world through characters and stories
Develop and awareness of different language and how to pronounce them
My hope is that every child leaves their lesson feelings a little more confident, accomplished and excited about singing.
Give your child the joy of singing
Whether your child wants to work towards singing exams, take part in school or theatre performances, prepare for auditions and concerts or simply just learn to use their voice confidently, I’d love to help them discover their musical potential!
